HMRI’s 2021 Virtual STEM Program

Experience Science Unshackled June 21 – July 30, 2021

Pasadena’s only biomedical research institution, HMRI, is offering its first ever STEM Summer Program in 2021. At HMRI’s state-of-the-art research facility, we see science differently. Our researchers are exploring new and uncharted solutions to some of healthcare’s biggest challenges, like heart disease, Alzheimer’s and mental illness. We would like to invite all budding scientists enrolled in Pasadena Unified School District (rising juniors and seniors, please) to apply for our virtual STEM Summer Program. Participants will explore a new topic each week, complete with a kit containing supplies and equipment needed to virtually conduct hands-on experiments and research – guided, of course, by our passionate and accomplished scientific researchers. Class is in session 9 am-2 pm. All accepted students receive a paid stipend. To apply, complete the online application and teacher recommendation forms by March 8, 2021.
